Well done to our new volunteer trainees who completed their Basic Search Technician Training this weekend.
The last few days spent learning basic navigation, radio communication, missing person characteristics and searcher safety; culminated in a mock search working alongside some of our fully operational team members.
Their task was to locate a high risk missing person in a woodland area in West Northamptonshire. This was a great opportunity for the new trainees to put into practice their recent training and for longer standing team members to hone their skills and pass on their knowledge.
After the exercise, everyone returned to the control vehicle for a debrief and enjoy some yummy cupcakes. Some of our Spring intake team members even got to show off and compare their new Keela Outdoors clothing, bought just in time for the coming winter weather
